The Influence of Art Environments on
Isaiah Zagar

"Outsider Inspirations" explored some of the unique art environments that inspired Isaiah Zagar and his creation of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. Zagar is far from the only artist to use non-traditional materials and methods to build a large-scale installation. This exhibition showcased a selection of Zagar’s artworks, photographs, and collaborative pieces that honor some of these environments. Along with Zagar’s personal stories, this collection illustrated how influential these immersive works of art are while examining why spaces like these are so important.
