Blood, Sweat, and Tears

"Blood, Sweat, and Tears" featured the work and life of self-taught artist, Russell Craig. Craig’s artistic style and stirring imagery were developed during his seven-year incarceration. Bold and provocative, his large-scale portraits were made from prison paperwork, court documents, and discarded materials. Through confrontation and contemplation, Craig’s pieces offered an opportunity to talk about the justice system in the United States in an effort to help unify all who have struggled through trauma and advocate for positive change within ourselves and our communities.
