Create/Converse

Featuring selected artists enrolled in SpArc Services’ Cultural Arts Center, "Create/Converse" highlighted visionary approaches to making art. SpArc Services is a nonprofit agency that provides services and support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The mission of the this cultural arts center is to foster creativity, self-confidence, and community connections for these adults through classes, outings to cultural venues, and opportunities to collaborate with other artists and arts-based organizations.

The exhibition celebrated the accomplishments of all the participating artists and shared the visual dialogue that was developed when artists of different backgrounds, experiences, and abilities met as peers to make work in a collaborative manner.
